This post is about how to hide photos in android. To do this, There are two different methods. the first one depends on using an application while the second one depends on adding a dote (.) to the folder that you would like to hide your pictures in, which means without using any application.
We all give a huge importance to our privacy especially our personal and private pictures. That’s why it is a must to find a solution to hide them from being displayed in the mobile phone Gallery. There are a lot of applications that offer this service and for free, but most of them are rubbish and don’t function in a proper way.
In order to hide your files from the SD card and pictures from being displayed on your phone Gallery without using any application, the first thing you should do is to Check if your file explorer supports ‘hide files’ feature. If not, then head to Google play store and download ES FILE EXPLORER (direct link)
If your phone supports hide files option, head to My files –> SD card –> More–> create a new folder in which you would like to hide your pictures in and add a dote (.) at the beginning of the name of the folder. For instance, tech –> .tech
The last step is to move your pictures from the folder ‘Pictures’ to the new folder (eg .tech).
Note: Move your pictures by using your phone file explorer. 🙂
The second method depicts on using an application. I strongly recommend you to use Gallery Vault.
GalleryVault is a fantastic privacy protection app to easily hide and encrypt your photos, videos and any other files that you do not want others to see.
